Chem One Ltd January 2019

January pricing will address annual increase and any Chinese tariffs. The US delayed moving the 10% tariff to 25% from January 1 to March 1 while negotiations take place.  We are finding some good options for some products while we wait to see what happens. March could continue 10%, go to 25%, or be rescinded. Chem One will manage this for you with product we stock at Houston eliminating your risks of over market product.  Fortunately for Chem One and our customers most of our products don’t originate in China.

The stock market has been volatile. This at least in part is due to uncertainty. If the tariffs are reduced or eliminated that could send copper and zinc prices higher however if the tariffs move to 25%, we could see further downside to the metals. The copper market will closely follow where the tariffs go.

We will be stocking a new origin Manganese Sulfate powder. This is a 32% manganese level and will be significantly lower cost than the other source we carry while maintaining our quality standards. Samples are available for evaluation. We also have been able to secure a lower option on Sodium Bicarbonate. Call for pricing details on all our products. Our Product List

Chem One will be closed January 1st in observance of New Year’s Day.

We all thank you so much for your support. Our customers make this business fun. We wish you a great holiday and the best for 2019. Let us know how we can help you.

With the beginning of the new year comes the reminders that various reporting requirements are now due or will be due in the coming weeks.

Tier II

Submission of Tier II form is required under Section 312 of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act of 1986 (EPCRA). The purpose of this form is to provide State, local officials, and the public with specific information on potential hazards. This includes the locations, as well as the amount, of hazardous chemicals present at your facility during the previous calendar year.

Some states may have specific requirements for reporting and submission of the Tier II inventory form and/or the state reporting form or format. EPA suggests that facilities contact their state for state specific reporting requirements

For those customers in Texas a new Tier II online reporting system for Texas is now available. Detailed instructions for the new online reporting system, including gaining access and submitting reports, are posted on their website. Beginning January 1, 2019, all Tier II reports submitted to the TCEQ will be done using the new online Tier II reporting system.
New day-long training classes on the new online reporting system have been scheduled for December and January. Check the website below for the location and date that works best for you.
